Where else?

I’ve been busy again. Very few of my theater reviews have been ending up on this site. Instead…

My review of the world premiere of The Second Mrs. Wilson, at the Long Wharf, is here.

My Hartford Courant review of the national tour of Once, at the Bushnell, is here.

My CT Now pre-opening preview of the College Street Music Hall is here.

My New Haven Independent coverage of the opening night of the College Street Music Hall is here.

My tribute to my recently departed friend James Velvet, preeminent New Haven music scenester and erstwhile commedia dell’arte clown, is here.

When the International Festival of Arts & Ideas starts next week, you’ll see a dozen or so short historical essays by me, next to photos by Judy Rosenthal, in the festival program. It’s A&I’s 20th anniversary, and Judy and I are, I think, the only writer and photographer who’ve covered it every year of its existence, so we were tapped to do the anniversary chronicle.

Every week I do an “Arts Happenings” calendar column for the New Haven Independent and a “Seven Days” calendar column for CT Now (the Thursday arts section of the Hartford Courant). Once a month I do “Best Bets” columns and assorted features for New Haven Living magazine and Hartford magazine.

Plus this blog right here and the much busier blog I do at the home page of my main site www.scribblers.us.

The goal is to blog much more frequently here at Theater Jerk in future, starting now. If I write about shows for other publications, I’ll probably do additional coverage here. That’s how it used to work, that’s what I enjoy and hopefully now that I’m more settled in our new home in Bethany that’s a sched I can maintain. Stay tuned.
