Connecticut-based playwright Susan Cinoman allowed me to host a reading of her one-act Truth and Sex during the August edition of Get to the Point!, a storytelling/ spoken word series held at Café Nine on the first Monday of every month. The two-character piece was performed by local actors Daniel Sarnelli and Joanna Keylock.

Susan emailed me this week to hip me to a YouTube video in which an Indian theatre company from Mumbai performs their own version of her script (duly credited to her). The Jewish identity jokes are swapped for other cultural imagery, and the whole thing comes off less sexy and anxious than the local reading did.
