Dec. 3
Benny Grauer was truly the man behind the throne. He was a genius lawyer who’d begun as a real estate salesman and developer. He made connections no one had ever thought of. All it took was Rush and his lobbyists to convince a couple of senators to add amendments to bills. These weren’t full bills, and they weren’t red-flag items, just the sort of ownership clauses and liability statements that business often requests. It took time, but it got done. You couldn’t see a pattern if you tried.
