One thing she didn’t mention regarding Ernie Kovacs was that Frank was a pallbearer at Ernie’s funeral. Sometimes Ernie would have a well known celebrity under one of the “Nairobi Trio” masks and Frank played that role at one point.

George and Jolene Schlatter, mentioned throughout the book, were also friends of Ernie’s. Jolene was an actress in Ernie’s shows under the name Jolene Brand, in the ABC specials of the early 1960s, and Mr. Schlatter of course is the creator of Laugh-In and admits he was influenced by Ernie’s brand of comedy.
